Hi - and Welcome!
My name is Ed Papp, or more commonly known in Key West as the Mermaid Hunter. Right now, Mermaid Hunter Films is Me! So, here are some highlights from my resume:
*Fine Art scholarship to St. Benedict's College, Atchison, KS
*Art Director for Multi-National Corporation
*Professional Commercial Photographer in NYC
*Award Winning Photojournalist
*Co-owner, Destin Log Newspaper, Destin, FL
*Co-owner, Papp & Williams Advertising Agency, Yardley, PA
*Owner, Affordable Models, Yardley, PA
*Author and Publisher- "Diving in Northwest Florida"
*Viet Nam era Veteran, USAF
*My first Computer was an IBM model with a Hard Drive of 175 Megabytes; Speed of 25 Megahertz and had a whopping 4 Megabytes of Ram! My first installed program was something new on the market called Photoshop!
*Creator of Mermaid Hunter, an on-line, sci-fi, soap opera. The Mermaid Hunter project has already caught the eye of Hollywood and generated a legitimate offer to be turned into a feature film... I refused. And, another offer to be turned into a Comic Book character. That too, I rejected. All in good time.
*My first visit to Key West was in 1965... After reading an article in National Geographic about Key West, I just knew I had to BE there. So, soon after reading that article my mom found a note on my bed pillow saying "don't worry, I'll be Ok". I hitchhiked from Princeton, New Jersey to Key West and lost my innocence here. I've been returning ever since. The last time was 10 years ago... and I haven't left the rock since!

What I am doing in 2008
The summer of 2008 will be spent creating a small line of mermaid merchandise
for my new company, Mermaid Hunter Trading Company.
The line will include: day and night perfumes; a small selection of organic,
nautical jewelry 'made by mermaids for mermaids'; a mermaid calendar; a mermaid
cookbook; a selection of postcards; a selection of fine art prints; and a
multi-media 'diving map/DVD' that will showcase all the great shallow swimming
and snorkeling sites I have discovered ... right off the beaches of Key West.
When completed I plan on setting up a mobile cart/store and selling my
merchandise to tourists... either at the famous Sunset Celebration or on a
street corner off Duval St.... as well as selling stuff on the Internet, of
course.
That's the plan...
My Ultimate
Dream Goal
An Annual Key West Mermaid Festival...
