Swank Photography & Mermaid Hunter Team Up
Sue Swank asked me to be her mentor as she advances her career in photography. I
agreed. She booked a Miami model named
Jennifer
for a shoot at my studio. These images are from that day's shoot.

Mermaid Ruby Visits Key West
Mermaid Ruby, who hails from St. Pete, Fl.
came down for a few days of fun in the sun. While here we did a shoot on 'the
wreck'. Ruby and I are working on a fine-art project that captures the beauty
and mystery of a sea siren at home in her sunken shipwreck. Here are a few
images from that series of forthcoming art prints:

Local Girl Wants To Enter Kingdom of
Mermaids
Lindsay, from Big Pine Key, wrote asking for a chance to audition. Locals are
given special treatment around here and the date was set. Bad weather prevented
us from completing the audition but we did get some promising footage in the
Mermaid Tank.
Here is Lindsay... I shot hi-def video while Sue shot these stills...

The Hurricane Season Is Here
As I sit here updating this blog, Hurricane Gustav is just 100 miles due west of me. The rain and wind is considerable despite the distance between us.
Several weeks ago another storm named Fay made landfall right on Key West. And, storm Hanna is coming our way next week.
OY!

Lost several banana trees last night... sniff! I love bananas and they were only
2 weeks away from ripe fruit picking.
