Poor Jackie! When things go bad... they go bad! First, her
eyes had a bad reaction to the water in the mermaid tank and turned beet red within
3 minutes... we had to stop the torture after just 5 minutes... 'makeup
malfunction?' ...then,
she couldn't equalize her ears while deep diving the shipwreck... poor kid, she
so wanted to do well... anyway, she wrote
me today promising to return to KW and JUST DO IT!

An Update:
Jess had unexpected work opportunities and was forced to
delay her audition... sniff.

Yesterday was my birthday (I'm an Old Fart) and all the mermaids called in their
best wishes... many thanks to all... My friend Sue of Swank Photography treated
me to a non-stress day at Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas, a collection of
small islands 70 miles west of Key West. I returned exhausted from my
'stress-free day'. Here is a pic I just took from the gear we couldn't even put
away last night we were so tired.
Sue... hugs and kisses for the daytrip.
And it was perfect timing...or - 'I smell a secret cellphone call'.. right after
diner the doorbell rang and Mermaid Steph came in with a BirthDay Cake...
complete with a little mermaid on top... AW!!! Stop it !!!!
My 58th birthday will be remembered as a day of happiness.

Go up two pictures and take note of the red circle... it circles a grounded boat
that has been on the sandbar for over a month... it's right off my boat dock and
the salt water has certainly reached the engines... making it a costly recovery.
I bring it up because I just might have one of the mermaids 'take a closer look'
and it could make for some dramatic footage... hmmm.

OK, back to business: the materials for the mermaid tails has been ordered,
delivered and given to the Richard Dennison, our sewing master... Hopefully, we
will have our first working model in about a week for sea trials and fine tuning
adjustments...

I have also collected a lot of organic sea life that will be the basis of the
Mermaid Hunter Jewelry line... and I am busy, busy designing necklaces, earrings
and bracelets...
This jewelry collection will be so cool... the marketing campaign will be
"Jewelry Made by Mermaids - For Mermaids".... All organic... ALL materials will
come from the Sea.
